Social Media Coordinator + Content Creator

We are looking for a full-time digital native social media & content creator!

The Dog Mum is Australia's most popular online retailer of ethically-made apparel & accessories for every dog parent and their pupper.

We need someone who lives & breathes creating content and is excited to join us to support our huge expansion plans. The role includes curation of social plans, creation of content for posts and stories (both stills and video) and oversight of community engagement.

Elements of the role

Content Creation: creation of content for posts and stories (both stills and video), captions, creating exciting ad content.

  • Creating engaging content for all our Social Media platforms.
  • Shooting, editing and collating new video and photographic creatives.
  • Deliver unique & brand-inspiring content on a daily basis.
  • Creating EDMs and managing our email marketing.
  • Have your finger on the pulse of the latest content trends.

Social Media Coordination: scheduling across social platforms (IG, FB, Tiktok, Pinterest, and more), build followers and drive brand engagement, compiling performance reports.

  • Develop the social media schedule to support our marketing plan.
  • Searching and engaging other accounts to grow our following.
  • Develop and grow influencer portfolio by engaging new influencers to work with and promote The Dog Mum brand
  • Copy and content writing as part of the social strategy execution.
  • Social media campaign reporting and analysis

Community Management: engaging with our community, provide customer support, respond to inquiries across all platforms.

  • Liking all images we are tagged in
  • Commenting on all images we are tagged (featuring our product/s)
  • Responding to all comments on social posts (posted by us)
  • Reposting stories
  • Responding to DMs (encouraging any customers to email if about return/shipping issues/stock/etc.)
  • Ensuring brand tone of voice and ethos are communicated effectively.

Skills you need to have

  • Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
  • Experience with Klaviyo & Canva
  • Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills
  • Basic photography and video editing ability
  • A passion for all things social media and content creation
  • A strong work-ethic (we are all super hard-working motherpuppers around here)
  • Ability to think outside the box (we like doing things differently)
