FAQ
Products + Care Instructions
What sizes do you offer?
We have something for dog lovers of all sizes here at The Dog Mum! From teeny-tiny to roomy ‘n comfy (and every size in between), we’ve got your back, homies.
Make sure you check the sizing chart on the product page before placing your order, or suss out the flat lay apparel measurements.
If you have a question, get in touch with us here.
Are your threads really ethically made and sweatshop free?
You betcha’! We can confidently say that no animals (or hippies) were harmed in making our gear.
We’ve partnered with a global garment manufacturer who's invested BIG dolla’-dollas’ to ensure they have Fair Labour Association accreditations. In fact, they're so committed to producing ethical threads that they also got the thumbs up from the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP). (#TooLegitToQuit)
Ensuring our products are 100% ethical and sweatshop-free is something we take very seriously as a brand - and so should you as a consumer. (#Truth)
What's the best way to look after my TDM clothes/purchase?
Our goods are made to be worn with pride and love – and if they end up with a few muddy pawprints on them, then all the better!
To make sure your threads last the distance, we recommend you pop them in a wash bag for extra protection, machine wash in cold water only, and followed up with a shady place to dry.
And while our goods are tough enough to play wrestle with the most mischievous of puppies, they don't play well with tumble dryers, dry cleaners, or irons. Probably best to keep those suckers away from your threads, okay?
Where do you print your gear?
We’re proud as punch to say all our products are handprinted, packed, shipped, and housetrained from our head office located in Brisbane, Australia!
Yep, we’re as fair dinkum’ Aussie as Red Dog chowin’ down on a meat pie, cobber.
How do I apply my bumper sticker?
So you've received your rad new car sticker - what now?! You can find our handy instructional video for applying your vinyl sticker on all our individual bumper sticker product pages. Or you can check it out over here: https://vimeo.com/293699494

Returns + Refunds
Erm, I've received my order and it's damaged/incorrect. What should I do?
First off, please accept our sincerest apologies. Although we go to extreme lengths to monitor our quality control, we can occasionally miss a faulty or incorrect item. But never fear, we'll bend over backwards to organise for a replacement of the same item to be shipped to you ASAP.
Please drop us a message with your order number and photo evidence of the damaged/incorrect item within a week of delivery so we can arrange an exchange for you ASAP.
Um, this is kind of awkward but can I cancel my order?
We want you to be stoked with your purchase from The Dog Mum, so please take your time and care when ordering.
If you wish to cancel your order, you must contact us via our contact form within 3 hours of placing it.
Just a head's up - we can't accept cancellation requests made after 3 hours of order placement as your order will have already been processed through our system. (We’re kinda efficient like that.)
If you do contact us after the this time, your order/s will be treated as an exchange (if it qualifies), and you'll need to follow the return and exchange process as detailed below. (Keep scrolling for deets.)
Whoops! I just placed an order with you and realised I picked the wrong size. Can I change my order before you send it?
We understand how tricky the interwebs can be - especially when you go on a late-night shopping bender after a few wines. (Trust us, we’ve been there.)
That’s why we will happily change anything within 3 hours of placing the order.
Just contact us here, select the 'I need to make a change to my order' option, and we’ll be in touch to make the swaps on your behalf.
Just a head’s up though - we can’t accept change requests made after 3 hours of order placement as your order will have already been processed through our system. (We’re kinda efficient like that.)

Sorry to be a party pooper but I'm not happy with my order. What's your exchange/refund policy?
Customer satisfaction is our number one priority. (Besides playing with puppies, of course.)
Check out our returns info on the product page for product specific info on our returns policy. That being said, we don't offer refunds simply for change of mind purchases, otherwise known as 'buyer's remorse.' (Sorry, but you gotta' live with that one, amigo.)
We can't accept returns on our customised or Breed Illustration products because, y'know, we made them just for you!
Return of underwear & eye masks is not possible due to our strict hygiene policy.
So I washed my TDM item incorrectly and now it's damaged/not quite right. Can I send it back?
Sorry homie, but just like you can’t return your dog if he pees on the carpet, you can’t return items damaged during washing.
We advise our customers to follow our product care instructions (outlined above) carefully, and as per the guidelines on the garment's inner label.
If you wash your threads according to these instructions, you won’t have any problems. (Well, you’ll still have a dog that pees on the carpet, but at least your threads will look on fleek, so there’s that.)

What are your terms of service?

Is The Dog Mum a registered trademark?
You betcha’ sassy ass it is!
Not sure what that means? Read the below statement to get schooled, homie.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All intellectual property is owned by The Dog Mum, which includes materials protected by copyright, trademark, or patent laws. All trademarks, service marks and trade names (e.g. The Dog Mum name and the artwork design) are owned, registered, and/or licensed by The Dog Mum.
All content on this website including but not limited to text, software, scripts, code, designs, graphics, photos, sounds, music, videos, applications, interactive features and all other content ("Content") is a collective work under the Australian and other copyright laws and is the proprietary property of The Dog Mum Pty Ltd. All rights reserved.
WHAT IS A TRADEMARK?
A trademark is a word, slogan, symbol or design (like a brand name or a logo) that distinguishes the products or services offered by one party from those offered by others.
Generally, trademark law seeks to prevent confusion among consumers about who provides or is affiliated with a product or service. The owner of a trademark may be able to prevent others from using its trademark (or a similar trademark) in a way that would confuse people into thinking that there's a relationship between the trademark owner and a person who isn't authorised to use the trademark, or that the trademark owner endorses that other person's products or services.
The owner of a trademark typically claims rights to a trademark through registration with a recognised trademark office.
Donations + Giving Back
What's the deal with your profit donations?
The crew here at The Dog Mum believe it’s important to give back to our community of furry friends in need.
That’s why from time to time we partner with a welfare organisation, charity, or not for profit (NFP) dedicated to the betterment and care of animals in Australia.
I run/work for a charity/NFP/organisation for animals. Can I get on your list of donation partners?
Are you making the world a better place, one hurt or homeless animal at a time? We’re always on the lookout for new animal-lovin’ crusaders to partner up with, and we'd love to hear about your work!
Drop us your organisation’s details, mission, and favourite Grumpy Cat meme here, and we'll take a gander at your application. (Okay, that last one isn't a requirement – we just love a good meme 'round here.)
How do you choose the charities/non-for-profits (NFPs) that you donate to?
We personally select our charity/NFP partners based on specific criteria and guidelines that align with our brand values.
We also rotate through our partner charities and NFPs. (Because we wanna share the love, and hot damn, there's a lotta' puppers in the world who need that love.)
Can I purchase something from your site to use in a giveaway offered/sponsored by my brand?
You sure can, moneybags!
However, you must check with us before promoting and including us in the giveaway/ competition to make sure your brand aligns with ours. (Just in case you’re some shady, Cruella de Vil-esque character selling doggy crack to impressionable Dalmatian puppies or something.)
My brand/company is doing a giveaway and I'd love The Dog Mum to donate an item. Do you do that?
We love a good giveaway as much as the next motherpupper; however, we’re pretty picky about the people and brands we collaborate with.
If you think we’d be a match made in marketing heaven, get in touch with the team at TDM HQ here, and if your proposal aligns with our brand values, we’ll talk tees. (Or hoodies. Or tanks. Whatevs.)
Socials + Brand Ambassadors + Random Shizzle
Do you gift wrap?
We have the most awesome gift box packaging option which you can add to your order. Check it out!
I think I've got what it takes to rep' your brand. How do I become a TDM Brand Ambassador?
We accept brand ambassador applications year round, and successful applicants rep our brand proudly ‘n loudly.
Make sure you’re following @thedogmum on Instagram and Facebook to check out our gear. If you'd like to become a brand rep please Contact Us.
I sent you a DM on Instagram but haven't heard back. What's the deal?
We’re pretty busy 'round here printin' and packin' orders, playing with our furbabies.
This means you won’t ever find us hanging out at dingy bars, racing tracks, dodgy alleyways - or in social media inboxes.
If you want to get in touch with us, drop us a line via our contact form so we can start a convo, preferably around who you think would find hidden treats the fastest: Scooby Doo, Snoopy, or Brian from Family Guy?
I want to share photos of your products on my brand's website/social media. Can I do that?
Only if it complies with these copyright terms of use. Don’t make us release the hounds on your ass, okay?
I want to share how rad I look in my TDM threads. Can I join #TheDogMumSquad?
Absolutely! We have the best community of motherpuppers in the world.
Follow @thedogmumsquad on Instagram and tag your pics with #thedogmumsquad to be featured. (And keep your peepers peeled for our plans for future world/dogpark domination, Dog Mum-style.)
How come your products are so damn awesome?
That’s just how we roll, homie. (*fist bump*)
